Growing up, I became interested in everything sports and numbers.  While playing sports, I discovered my natural affinity to be extremely detail oriented. This instinctively led me to follow statistics in sports and fall in love with movies like Moneyball. I tried out many different sports, but since I was raised in a tennis family, I naturally gravitated to the tennis court as I grew up.  

I remember some tennis lessons with my long-time, Swedish coach where all of our time would be devoted to changing my grip on the forehand 5 to 10 degrees one way or another.  These lessons were probably the reason I quit, but all jokes aside, I’m extremely grateful for this attention to detail today.  

 

From the Court to the Classroom to the Office with my analytical approach to my passions such as tennis, this led me to study Economics and Mathematics at Purdue University.  When COVID struck in the middle of my time at university, I had a lot more time to think about life after college and the options I had for my time ahead. I pondered the idea of law school, business school, or even hitting the job market right away.  

The winter before I graduated, I stumbled upon an ad for a graduate school alternative, Experience Lab at Penn.  After being a fellow in the program while working for a global startup called Genivity promoting generations of longevity, I'm building sustainable practices for myself.  I love sales as a start to my career because it can help me practice and implement business tactics that drive revenue, and it's the frontlines of business!
